Thank You To Everyone Who Participated-
It Was A Memorable Week …. It Was A Pleasure Serving With You!
Here are some comments by the teens that participated during the week.
* My heart has been reopened to become more charitable in action and deed. I realized that my neighbor can be in need and I want to help.
* I have learned that everyones expresses their christianity in different ways and each way helps me grow closer to my faith. This is how my heart has been opened.
*I have learned that little things and tasks can help someone. It’s all important to someone.
* Because we are one human family I hope that through this service week that others were inspired to perform some act of kindness for someone else.
* It was inspiring to help a Historical Marker. Hope for me is any aspiration, good act, seeing Christ in others and in nature.
* So many people need a helping hand and they appreciated me. The week has opened me up to do more service on my own.
* Because of my experience at Environmental Ed. in the city of Plano, now I might go on my own to do more service for them. It was fun and I like getting in the dirt.
* My positive spirit touched the heart of a parish member. I realized that my actions took the burden off of her by doing the gardening. It was hot but it was worth it. She was a sweet lady and she appreciated the work we did.
* We are one human family and I hope the people at the Interurban Railroad Museum continue working hard to share an important part of our cities history.
* I hope the people in the Smyth Pastoral Center can see better through the clean windows and know that we did the job for them so they can appreciate God’s creation.
* It was fun doing the knotted blankets for someone in need this winter.
The Parish Festival was a great success!
There was good food, lots to do and so many people to see!
Thanks to anyone who helped during the day… you are appreciated!
Happy Birthday To Everyone Who is Celebrating a Birthday in February!
