Talk it over with Jesus…

Jesus said to the apostles, “Come by yourselves to an out-of-the-way place and rest a little…So Jesus and the apostles went off in a boat by themselves to a deserted place.” Think for a moment it’s just you and Jesus alone in quiet place. It’s a time when we ask some straight questions. How am I? Am I living up to your expectations? What kind of person am I becoming?

Lent is a time of cleansing, searching, and reflecting. It’s something that is done regularly. During Lent we move things around in our lives. It’s not a question of dirt and sin. It’s a question of rethinking and adjusting our thoughts. By fasting and prayer and works of mercy, we begin to see things differently. We take an honest look at our lives.

It’s about opening our hearts and minds to a fresh, deeper, fuller awareness of God within us and around us. And ultimately to God’s will! Here’s to new beginnings…

Youth Council

Leaders= Evangelizers= Disciples

Two roads diverged in the wood, and I took the one less traveled by,

And that has made all of the difference.

Robert Frost

Youth Council consists of a group of high school teens who inspire, create hope, strive to find answers, want to make things happen, have the desire to reach their potential all in the name of God. Why, because He is the one who created us-we honor Him for giving us life!

We all have dreams in life we want to achieve and we can achieve these dreams if we are willing to always give 100 percent. We live in a complex and challenging world that places before us many road blocks along the way. When we are together as a group it is dedicated, honest, inspirational and motivational time well spent. For you-What’s it mean to be a leader? What’s it mean to be a follower? Can you answer these two very simple questions? You will! We hope to encourage you to follow your hearts rather than just following the group. We want you to become a better all-around person who is developing some life skills. We believe in integrity, and real life values. Our goal is to learn from each other, to be there for each other and to give back to family and community…

2009-2010 Youth Council:
